Born to Rise

How It Started:

As a child, I was always fascinated by the kitchen. Food has always been more than just something to eat for me—it was a way to bring people together. Seeing how much joy a simple meal could bring someone sparked something in me from a young age.

My baking journey began with curiosity, patience, and plenty of trial and error. I fell in love with the science behind each ingredient and the way simple elements come together to create something meaningful. Each challenge became a lesson, leading me to discover my passion for baking.

Baking with Purpose:

As I became more mindful of the ingredients in store-bought foods, I started paying closer attention to the bread I was buying. I noticed long lists of ingredients I couldn't pronounce and questioned why a loaf could sit in the pantry for months without changing. It made me wonder what we were putting into our bodies simply for the convenience of a longer shelf life.

That realization inspired me to do something different. I felt called to provide bread made with intention—carefully crafted, preservative-free, and made from simple, quality ingredients. What started as a desire to serve my own family soon grew into a passion for serving friends, neighbors, and my community.

Much of my inspiration comes from my grandmother. Her home-cooked meals were simple, yet they left a lasting impression on everyone who gathered around her table. Later in life, when she developed dementia, eating wasn't always easy for her. Many days, we had to encourage her just to take a few bites. But when I began baking fresh rolls and muffins, it was a different story. No reminders were needed—if anything, she was already reaching for a second serving!

In many ways, that experience felt full circle. The woman who had spent years nourishing and caring for me was now finding comfort in something I had made for her. It reminded me that food doesn't have to be complicated to be meaningful. Sometimes, the simplest ingredients, thoughtfully combined, create something truly extraordinary.

For the Love of Good Bread and Good Company:

My hope is that when you try my bread, it brings you back to the simple days—days filled with slow mornings, shared meals, meaningful conversations, and time spent with loved ones. In a world that moves so quickly, I hope my bread serves as a reminder to slow down, savor the moment, and enjoy the beauty of simple, intentional food made with care.
